The biomorphic coat hanger implants itself and habitates its environment. It stands its ground and defends itself with sharp spikes on every face.
The coat hanger flips the narrative of what it means to be functional furniture. When an item of clothing is placed on it, instead of blending into the background, camouflaging into its environment, it instead grounds itself, and leaves an impact on the garments placed on it.
This coat hanger is constructed with a 10mm aluminium core, and stainless steel supporting exo frame.

Cat Among Animals.
The coat hanger was exhibited at Oddany Gallery Brunswick in November 2025. The phrase 'Cat Among Animals' is a phrase borrowed from Albert Camus' The Myth of Sisyphus: representing a sense of belonging and natural order. It suggests that one is simply part of a larger system, like a cat within the animal kingdom.
